Paris Hôtel de Ville

Clean air is an essential need for all of us. Our health, our environment, even our economy depend on it.

While we have been able to reduce air pollution in Europe over the past decades, poor air quality continues to cause respiratory and cardiovascular diseases - air pollution is still the number one environmental cause of premature deaths in the European Union.

The European Commission is committed to addressing this and organises a European Clean Air Forum in November 2017.

This European Clean Air Forum will provide a basis for structured dialogues, exchange of knowledge and good practices, and to enhance capacity of relevant stakeholders to improve air quality. It aims to reflect on the development of policies, projects and programmes, and facilitate the implementation of European, national and local air policies.

The Clean Air Forum will focus on three themes: air quality in cities; agriculture and air quality; and clean air business opportunities. The conference will bring together experts on the above topics as well as decision-makers and stakeholders in a two-day conference.
