Date 26/01/2016
On 21st January 2016, FIEC organised an information workshop dedicated to the Investment Plan for Europe (so-called "Juncker Plan”) for its members. About 30 participants attended this workshop on an issue which indeed triggers a lot of interest and questions from the sector.

In the morning, an internal session was the occasion for the participants to assess FIEC lobbying activity on this important dossier, as well as to report about the state of play of the implementation of the investment plan at their national level.

In the afternoon, three guest speakers – namely from the European Commission - explained in more details the various aspects of the investment plan and answered to the numerous questions of the participants. It was the occasion to clarify the role that the construction sector can play in implementation the Investment Plan as efficiently and quickly as possible. Once is clear, entrepreneurs are ready to do their part of the job!

Mr. Stéphane Ouaki - Head of Unit, Connecting Europe – Infrastructure Investment Strategies, DG MOVE, European Commission – presented the "Infrastructure & Innovation window” of the Investment Plan for Europe.

Mr. Drazen Budimir - Policy Officer, COSME Financial Instruments, DG GROW, European Commission – presented the "SME window” of the Investment Plan for Europe.

Mrs. Elodie Denizart - European policy officer, Région Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie, Brussels Office – presented the "Picardie Pass Renovation” project, which is a third-financing mechanism, supported by the EIB for the renovation of private buildings (i.e. energy efficiency).
