Public Procurement accounts for around 15% of the EU’s GDP and plays a crucial role in delivering quality infrastructure and public services. As the European Commission prepares its upcoming reform proposal, attention is turning to how procurement rules can better reward quality, innovation, sustainability, safety and social value.

Speaking to Affari & Finanza - La Repubblica (taly), FIEC Analyst Romain Henrard emphasised that contracting authorities should be empowered to move away from lowest-price awards and select the best-value offers, while preserving the flexibility needed to accommodate national legal frameworks.
