PROJECT OVERVIEW
- Budget: EUR 4.000.000
- Grant Agreement number: 101187470
- Duration: 4 years (2025-2028)
"Construction Blueprint II: Strategic Alliance for Skills Development" is a four-year initiative which is built upon the success of the initial Construction Blueprint project (2018–2023). The new project aims to enhance skills in the construction sector, focusing on energy efficiency, circular economy, and digitalisation.
A consortium of 20 organisations, including training providers, sector representatives, social partners, innovation centres, and technology developers from 10 European countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Slovenia, and Spain) will collaborate to:
Develop training curricula: design educational programs for both Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Higher Education (HE) tailored to the construction industry's evolving needs.
- Deliver training programs: implement training sessions addressing the skills outlined in the newly developed curricula.
- Update the Construction Skills Observatory: improve the platform to better anticipate emerging skills and training requirements.
-
Launch a web application: provide accessible training resources specific to the construction sector.
-
Formulate a skills strategy: create a comprehensive roadmap and action plan for the construction ecosystem.
-
Upgrade Continuing Vocational Education and Training (CVET) to meet current industry demands.
-
Identify and categorise emerging skills essential for the construction industry.
-
Propose micro-competence certification: introduce a certification approach to validate specific skill sets.
-
Establish a plan to maintain and build upon project results beyond its duration.
This EU-funded project aligns with the European Union's Pact for Skills, aiming to facilitate the green and digital transitions within the construction sector by fostering strategic cooperation and innovative solutions for skills development. Members of the Pact commit to promoting a culture of lifelong learning, building strong partnerships, monitoring skill demands, and ensuring equal opportunities for all. The Pact for Skills serves as the foundational framework for the Construction Blueprint II project, ensuring that its objectives harmonise with the broader European strategy for workforce development. Moreover, the Pact provides access to valuable resources, including networking opportunities, knowledge hubs, and guidance on funding instruments, all of which are crucial for the successful execution and sustainability of the Construction Blueprint II project's objectives.
