18 start-ups presented their innovation at FIEC Annual Conference in Paris

FIEC Conference on Innovation was the perfect opportunity to showcase innovative solutions in the construction industry. In parallel with our Conference, participants had the chance to see innovation in action in the sector, with 18 start-ups and companies from France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Norway. They presented their solutions in the area of sustainability, productivity and training and safety on worksites.

These solutions ranged from virtual reality training and low carbon cement to robots, new inspection technology and AI. Participants had the opportunity to exchange with exhibitors and learn more about the solutions that are shaping the future of construction.

Birdsview (Norway) – a rapid, user-friendly concrete inspection technology designed to make it easier to extend the lifetime of the built environment. The advanced concrete scanner delivers millimetre-accurate rebar detection without drilling or shutdowns.  https://www.birdsview.ai/

BLIC (France) – BLIC offers a turnkey solution to improve productivity on construction sites with smart boxes so that users can optimise their time and profitability by streamlining the management of delivery flows for site orders. https://blic.pro/

Casas Mundejo (Spain) – industrialisation and innovative process  to maximise thermal comfort in a building. https://www.casasmundejo.com/

CAD 42 (France) – Innovators in Security and Smart Construction, CAD.42 has been transforming construction sites through AI innovative solutions for safety, productivity and digitalization. https://cad42.com/

ECL-Econet (France) – ECL-Econet developed a patented ‘ECONET’ system that combines filtration, settling and pH neutralisation through CO₂ injection. Their systems enable to regulate the pH and capture suspended solids (SS) to the required regulatory levels. https://www.ecl-econet.com/

Ecocem (Ireland, France, Netherlands, UK) – high-performance technology that significantly reduces CO₂ emissions in the cement, concrete and construction industries. Its low carbon cement technology, ACT, can reduce the carbon footprint of the traditional cement manufacturing process by up to 70%. https://www.ecocemglobal.com/

Elythe Energies (France) – decarbonization of construction machinery by converting existing machines and manufacturing new models (e.g. the ELH25.1 2.5-tonne electric mini-excavator, fitted with its E-CUBE interchangeable battery pack). https://elhyte-energies.com/

Gamma AR (Luxembourg) – By connecting the field and the office with BIM Models and augmented reality, the construction app GAMMA AR, not only prevents errors but also helps you to improve communication and brings clarity to your construction projects. https://gamma-ar.com/

Heijmans (Netherlands) – Working safely around heavy machinery is crucial; even a moment of inattention can have serious consequences. Esther Beije and Werner van Eck show how Heijmans, together with the industry, works towards zero collisions. With practical measures, behavioral insights, and improved visibility, the separation between people and machines is strengthened. https://www.heijmans.nl/en/

Hiboo (France) – Founded in 2017, Hiboo helps companies manage their fleets of heavy equipment and light vehicles more productively, sustainably, and efficiently through a powerful data collection and analysis platform. As a European reference in data and decarbonization, Hiboo uses its technologies to reduce carbon footprints for equipment operators and rental companies across industries including construction. https://www.hiboo.io/fr
