Domenico Campogrande appointed member of EESC "Consultative Commission on Industrial Change"
Congratulations to our Director General, Domenico Campogrande, on his appointment to the "Consultative Commission on Industrial Change" (CCMI) 2026–2030 mandate at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
This role will further strengthen the voice of the construction sector in anticipating and shaping Europe’s industrial transformation.
We are proud to see FIEC contributing to forward-looking EU policies and the transition to a low-carbon economy.
ABOUT CCMI - Did you know that...?
Known by its French acronym standing for "Commission Consultative des Mutations Industrielles", it is the heir of the "European Coal and Steel Community" and joined the EESC in 2002.
Since then, the CCMI’s remit does no longer only cover the traditional coal and steel sectors but has been extended to embrace all industry sectors in both manufacturing and services. It focuses on the analysis of industrial change with a clear foresight dimension. It makes concrete recommendations to contribute to shape policies that support industrial sectors in their transitions and in the decarbonisation pathway.
Since 2023, the CCMI coordinates the EESC flagship initiative proposing a water policy for Europe within the EU Blue Deal.
